By Leslie Ball

In this day and age, when you seek football stars performing new styles in the field you really wonder how they were able to do the skills. It is because they do a lot of practice that makes them stand out of the crowd. Some of the ways on how to improve soccer skills in your backyard will also require a lot of hard work.

World stars reach those levels because they learn playing techniques early in life. It is because there are many things one has to learn to reach the same level, and it does not take a day to learn them all. However, you can still become an excellent player by practicing the most basic of the techniques that we see soccer stars doing in the field. You must be ready to invest your time, determined and work very hard to achieve the same heights. Talent is not enough you must put in also hard work to stand out of the crowd.

The first lesson creates twenty minutes and learns how to juggle. You can do this for a period of six days and take a day's rest to allow your ankle to rest. Do not use a full ball because it is sometimes very difficult to control, remove some pressure to make it easy for you to control.

The juggling technique is very simple put a slight touch on the football in the air and control in as it lands on your feet. Be very patient when you realize that you easily lose the ball even before two touches. However, you must put in more effort to a point you can now control the football easily. Mostly when you do not know how to juggle you won't know how to pass, shoot and control at the same time.

Another way to improve your soccer skills is to learn how to control a ball that you kick on the wall. Control the football before it hits the ground twice because when it hits the ground for the second-time chances are that it always drifts away from the player. Always be at a reasonable distance to the wall so that you can easily control the ball when it does not have a lot of force.

There is not good footballer who does not understand how to dribble. When you dribble, you have an added advantage over your opponents. It because with a speed you will push the ball in space and run to reach for it passing your opponents. You can use a dog or a puppy that loves playing with balls, by pushing the ball ahead of it and rushing to get it before it can get to it. Just be cautious not to hurt the dog by stepping on it when it movement.

You can also learn how to shield. Shielding involves keeping the football away from your opponent using your arms and body. Do not try this if you have not hit the gym and is not fit. It is because when you are unfit your opponent can easily take the ball from you with just a slight body contact.

Lastly, great footballers know that it's not about individual play in the field, but it is about team work For you to be a team player you must learn to give timely and accurate passes. There are good passes that when your team mate gets they just tap and it's a goal. Learn to pass accurately to make your team win easily.
