Fat Loss In Men

By Sammy Ason

In comparing males and females, there are certain similarities that can be seen. Both sexes can achieve fat loss and change their bodies if they desire. But males have the clear advantage when it comes to shedding the fat. The difference that allows this to occur is that males are more prone to physical and strenuous activity, while females shy from it, understandably so. But this shouldn't discourage them into thinking that they have no chance to lose weight.

In addition, males are naturally muscular and tend to have a higher percentage of it in their body. The male physique is designed to be leaner than the female version. It is also natural for males to develop muscles as they reach the development stages of their lives. But this doesn't mean that women don't carry muscle, they do, but at lesser amounts than males.

It is a fact that the male hormone testosterone is present in a much higher rate in men than women. Testosterone causes the male body to develop a more muscle mass and is more conducive in the weight loss process as a result. Testosterone leads to muscle development and muscles are more likely to accelerate the rate at which fat is burned from the body. Males should take comfort in having a slight advantage over women in that muscle is key to fat loss. But that does not mean they should slack off and not participate in training their bodies to burn fat.

In order to develop muscles, one should increase their consumption of protein. This can be accomplished by eating foods such as beef, poultry, fish and dairy products. In addition a great source of protein is present in legumes and various nuts. Another alternative would be to make shakes using whey protein. When there is more protein in the body, the building of muscles takes place. For the best possible results, one should also engage in working to increase muscle size.

To become fit and lean, a variety of physical activities should be on your fat loss checklist. Playing sports and keeping active can accelerate weight loss. Bonus benefits of exerting your body is added strength and stamina. Other activities such as running or riding a bike can also have the same effect, while being fun at the same time.

Even though sports are effective, the number one choice activity for fat loss, is lifting weights. This, by far is the best solution for building muscle. Exercising requires more dedication and patience. Results don't appear overnight, but once you lift weights regularly, you will notice a difference in how your look. Overall, it is much easier to burn fat for men than women, for these obvious reasons. Still, anyone can reach their goals no matter what their gender is. All that is needed is a will to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
