When To Use The Right Kind Of Rambo Rugs

By Arline Bradley

Most of the people in the country are self confessed animal lovers. Some are strong supporters of animal rights and will go out of their way to save an animal in need. It is no wonder that more and more are proclaiming their love for animals by keeping them as pets. Some keep pet cats, others dogs, maybe guinea pigs or hamsters. Some keep pigs, chickens, turkeys an ducks. Still, others have spiders, snakes, and even big animals like cows, horses, and other quadrupeds that they cover in rambo rugs.

We have animal companions for various reasons. One common reason is for companionship. Animals are good house mates who will never make you feel alone. They will even follow you around, wherever you may decide to go. They can also be kept for your protection. Most households have dogs to keep their homes safe and to warn them of intruders.

Another factor why people keep animals is to augment finances. Domestic chickens, ducks, and cows produce items you can sell like fresh eggs and milk, respectively. They are raised by farm people as a source of money. Some animals, especially horses, are kept for sport related reasons and show competitions. Some even take pride of the horse breeds under their care and put them up for horse racing.

Yes, people have varied underlying reasons for having animals around the house. But whatever this may be, you should always be responsible for their total well being. You have to feed them with clean and appropriate food to keep them nourished. You should also provide them with a clean supply of water. They also need protection from harsh elements so you have to house them properly. Aside from these basic needs, you may also need to buy products for additional care.

If you want to take care of horses keep in mind that they have a different set of needs. There is no possible way you can keep them in your house so you will have to build them a stable. You must also have wide grazing pastures from these beasts to roam around as much as they want. In the absence of pasture grounds, be sure to always provide them with fresh grass or hay.

This makes them vulnerable from sudden changes in temperature. To offer the necessary protection, horse blankets or rugs are available in the market. There are many kinds of these rugs, and each is used to serve different functions.

One such type is the turnout blanket. It is made up of warm material that will help the horse retain body heat to keep it warm during winter and cold weather. Its warmness also depends on its weight, so you can choose between the heavyweight, medium and lightweight turnout. Neck rugs to protect the head and neck are almost often paired with this type of rug to provide utmost protection against the cold.

If there is a rug for cold weather, there is also one for when it is warm. This is also known as the fleece blanket. It has an uncanny ability to soak up water and sweat, keeping the beast cool.

Horses, along with most animals, require love and care. As a responsible pet owner, it is your duty to take care of these animals well and look after their needs. If you love an animal completely, they will sure love you ten times back.
