How To Fit Exercise In Your Busy Schedule

By Rey Vetangelo

Everyone knows that, unless you are a professional athlete or have all the time in the world, that it is pretty hard to find the time to really stay fit and healthy. There are however, some key ways to keep your body moving even when you are pressed with time.

Take advantage of your daily tips to and from the office. If you can, ride your bike or walk to work. If you take public transport, get off a few blocks early and walk the rest of the way. If you drive your car, park farther away from your office building and walk. Once you get inside, always take the stairs going up or down. This is a great way to wake up in the morning, stay active during the day, and relieve stress at the end of the day.

Take advantage of your lunch break. Take some of the time to take a quick walk, climb some stairs, do some stretching, or even some pushups. Try to eat your meal standing, since standing will always burn more calories than sitting. And make sure you eat healthy food as often as possible, not take-out, fast food, or vending machine food.

Even when you are chained to the desk there are few things you can do. Stand up often, maybe when you are on the phone or discussing ideas with a co-worker. Get up for quick water breaks and replace in-house phone calls or text messages with an actual visit.

This triggers the production of insulin which turns the glucose in the blood into energy, and reduces the blood sugars back to a normal level. This process is especially pronounced when eating simple carbohydrates, high fructose corn syrup, and refined sugars.

There are little things that you can always do on the go. For instance you can always use those grip strengtheners even when you are driving in the car. Also you can always park a little further from the store and get a little bit of a leg work out if you need to.

Make sure that you are stretching several times a day. Working out is good but it takes stretching to create sustainable and practical strength.

Not only is this good exercise, but it can make a boring business trip an exciting adventure. For example if you are in Mexico, go explore the new culture rather than spending all your down time in the hotel room.

Keep off that weight, stay fit and active, and you won't ever need weight loss surgery in Mexico, gastric sleeve surgery or any other kind of unwanted surgery.
