These pear shaped fruits are rich in various minerals and Vitamins, including fiber. Any body that watches what they eat should also include these fruits to their diet as it helps the body in the absorption of Carotenoids, which in turn have the effect of an antioxidant.

Energy obtained from this fruit is nearly twenty times more than what can be derived from eating peaches or apples.

Moreover it reduces the chance of developing cancer or heart ailments and also acts as a buffer against free radical damage. This in turn, means that it can slow down the appearance of wrinkles.

General perception is that fats are unhealthy but monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are in fact essential for healthy bodies. These fruits contain a whopping 63% mono and 20% polyunsaturated fats. Because they are rather filling to eat, it will eliminate unhealthy cravings while on diet.
