The main difference is actually the fact herbs have much stronger aroma and flavor. That's why people use herbs in small quantities, to enrich their food's taste. Although people use some of these herbs occasionally, they should be included in their diet more often. Basil is very popular annual herb, while some other herbs, such as parsley, are biennials. Rosemary, Thyme and other perennials are easy to grow, and all have very good impact on your well-being. In addition, you won't need to add so much salt to your dishes, if you put enough herbs in there.

In addition to improving the taste and aroma of your food, these plants have many other qualities. Some of them have antibiotic properties, foe example Thyme, Ginger, Rosemary, Parsley, Cloves an Cumin. If you are taking this herbs on a regular basis, they will reduce inflammation, make you feel and look younger and more vital and improve your health.

Many of these herbs have surprising effects on your nervous system and brain functions. Rosemary is especially useful for improving learning abilities and general energy levels. Ginkgo is well known for its numerous beneficial properties considering nerve transmission and brain functions, especially when it comes to memory loss and dementia. Popular licorice root can help stabilize blood sugar levels.

Basil is indispensable ingredient of Mediterranean cuisine. No dish containing tomatoes almost can not be imagined without the basil. You can use frozen, dried or fresh basil, and you can keep the leaves in a bottle of good, quality olive oil. In any case, fresh leaves are the best, so full of vitamins and minerals such as Iron, Magnesium, Vitamin C, A and B.
